The Story Behind This Rug
These rugs are not just decorations — they are part of my family’s story. They were handwoven by my grandmother in Zagora, southern Morocco, using traditional Amazigh (Berber) techniques passed down through generations.
Each rug was made with local wool, natural dyes, and countless hours of careful weaving on a simple loom. The vibrant colors and diamond patterns carry deep cultural meaning: protection, blessings, and the beauty of the desert landscape that inspired her.
For my grandmother, weaving was never about business — it was about tradition, family, and love. These rugs kept her home warm during cold desert nights and decorated her house with pride. Now, I am offering them here to give her a little support and to share her art with people who value something truly handmade and meaningful.
When you bring one of these rugs into your home, you are not just buying a carpet — you are helping continue a tradition, supporting my grandmother, and giving new life to a piece of Moroccan heritag
A piece of my grandmother’s story, ready to become part of yours.
